Welcome to the official site of Medical Council of Ukraine.

     Medical Council of Ukraine ( MCU ) – organization that deals with protection and complying with legal social, economic, creative, age, national and cultural and other common interests of the members of organization .

     Medical Council of Ukraine has fundamental tasks to provide assistance in establishment of the common national register of qualified practitioners and integration of Ukrainian Health Care system to the standards of European Union ; support measures for high professional standards in health care services and joint unions of qualified specialists in this field.

     Medical Council of Ukraine has been established on the basis of the program of European Integration of Ukraine , p.3.11. Health Care Reforms from 14.09.2000

     According to national standards of certification for doctors and junior health care personnel and international standards in medical education, Medical Council of Ukraine has organized a team, consisting of: Registrar of the Programme of Certification and Medical Council on certification and assessment system development.

Ukrainian Medical Council – main goal of organization is licensing and certification of professional medical practice of Medical Doctors of all specialties, organization of rising Medical Doctors' professional levels, Doctors' activity control, making and supporting of Medical Doctors' databases throughout country, development and co-ordination of Medical Care granting standards (fulfillment control), organization of grant support.     On the basis of the Medical Act № 1/06 (from 11.2005), Medical Council of Ukraine as national official representative has accomplished The Programme of Certification and necessary set of education and training facilities with Ukrainian education specific features consideration.

The Programme of Certification implemented by MCU contributes to:
  •  professional development of health care personnel and officials of medical health care and medical education institutions raise.
  •  knowledge improvement and advance, as well as experience and professional qualities advance
  •  process of permanent education support, update and advance for Health Care Services.
  •  goals achievement in education and health care.

On the basis of this certification Medical Council of Ukraine as single official national representative of the world Medical Council and according to the data received from Ukrainian Medical Assembly which have been settled for the last three years, certification of about 4000 health care practitioners has been accomplished, those graduated from higher and secondary medical educational institutions.
